A couple months ago I wrote about the balance between a platform people love and the desire to keep building.
Since then, I’ve built more than I thought, but also spent much less time doing so than normal. Because I’m building small, simple things that make the platform just a little better but don’t carry the risk and overhead of a big project. Things like:
- A toggle to improve readability of email HTML in the code viewer
- A new emoji report
- New flags for popular email tech (Google Annotations, etc.)
- The ability to detect a few new ESPs
None of these things are more than 30 minute projects, but they add just that extra bit of polish, are often based on questions/comments from users, and give us the chance to reengage with prospects about the platform and how it’s evolving.
So, yeah, definitely. still building. Just keeping it simple for now.
