I wrote recently about how a freelancer we’re working with on SendView created a style of content I hadn’t ever practiced.
Then a similar need came up at the day job and, inspired by this freelancer’s efforts and success, I decided to give it a try and create content around a few topics we’re focusing on this year.
I ended up creating a series of 101-style guides to key concepts our prospects might need to explore on their way to our services. So far I’ve created five pieces:
- Resort Booking Engine: What it is and How it Works
- Hotel Email Marketing: A Step-by-Step Guide to Email for Hoteliers
- Resort Email Marketing: How Resorts Can Take Advantage in 3 Steps
- Hotel CRM: A Guide to Customer Relationship Management for Hoteliers
- Resort CRM: A Plain English Guide to What It Is and How It Works
- Hospitality CRM: A 101 Guide to Customer Relationship Management Software for Hospitality Brands
- What is a central reservation system (CRS)? A simple guide.
It’s been a good learning experience and, so far, we’re seeing some good results. Fun project that gets me out of my comfort zone in terms of both the style of content and the voice of the writing.
Always good to practice new skills.
